Between Umbria and Latium

The architectural, historical, artistic and natural beauties are among the most appealing reasons to choose and spend a holiday, or organize an important event, in our residence.

Not far from our property you will find some jewels of rare beauty, Lugnano in Teverina and Amelia. Lugnano in Teverina, a very ancient borgo, very small but perfectly kept, seems almost magical, beautiful with its Romanesque church of S.Maria, located in an en-chanting small square.
Amelia, a larger town, with its gigantic walls and its climbing up lanes, rich of aristocratic buildings going up to the amazing cathedral with its impressive tower built in 1000s, recently renovated, from which you can enjoy a fantastic view. In Amelia, as well as Orte, Orvieto, Narni and Spoleto you can also visit Etruscan and Roman catacombs and labyrinths.

From there, you can take beautiful routes deep in the green hills, vineyards, wheat and cornfields, reaching in less than 30 minutes Orvieto, a beautiful little town, with one of the most beautiful Romanesque cathedrals in central Italy. The famous Pozzo di San Patrizio, the for-tess Albornoz, the Duomo built in 1290s. Orvieto is also famous for the very popular jazz festival taking place during Christmas time.

And then, the magic Narni with its noble palaces and secrets of its underground rich of Etruscan vestiges, labyrinths, cisterns and tombs.
Further afield, Spoleto, beautiful and famous for its the-atres, among which the Roman amphitheater and its en-chanting buildings. Above all Spoleto is well known for its music festival and the theatre “Dei Due Mondi” where artists from around the world gather together.
Only a bit further away, Todi and the places of S. Fran-cesco, Assisi, Gubbio and Montefalco.

For lovers of paintings, Umbria gave origins to the fa-mous Piero della Francesca, whose canvases can be admired in San Sepolcro, Arezzo and Bastia Umbra.

For gourmets, it will be useful to highlight that Umbria is also famous for its wine and food, among which the very good quality truffles of Acquasparta, at less than 30 kilometers from our Casali, mushrooms and in season vegetables such as artichokes and least, but not less in importance, the Sagrantino, which represents the dia-mond among wines of this region.
